Our Feeding San Diego Fundraising Success Story

Our Feeding San Diego Fundraising Success Story

Food insecurity is a major issue for many in the United States, and accessing healthy, affordable food has become even more difficult in the face of COVID-19. Fortunately, there are a variety of charities and organizations committed to supporting public health and well-being during this time. Whether you contribute financially or dedicate your time to volunteering, there are plenty of ways to get involved in these groups and support the people who need it the most.

Since the GHT Companies are based in San Diego County, we felt compelled to support local fundraising programs in San Diego. That’s why the GHT Companies recently partnered with Feeding San Diego and raised $30,000 to feed communities in need. The San Diego Charity provides millions of meals to underprivileged community members each year, and uses a decentralized food recovery and distribution model to make sure everyone has access to delicious, nutritious meals.

Supporting the community when the community needs it the most

Now more than ever, people are struggling to take care of themselves and their loved ones. COVID-19 completely changed the course of 2020, forcing people into unemployment and other unexpected predicaments. Even before the start of the pandemic, over 37 million people in the U.S. suffered from hunger annually.1 The GHT Companies have been able to thrive because of the loyalty and support of our communities, and there is no better time to give back to those communities.

In order to be a part of the Feeding San Diego fundraising success story, we offered special discounts on Vegan supplements and collected donations for each sale. With the help of an enthusiastic customer base, the GHT Companies were able to raise over $30,000. Every dollar donated represents a passion for health and nutrition that allows our communities to flourish, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Continuing to stay healthy

As we continue to navigate our lives in a world overwhelmed by COVID-19, we must all make supporting the community around us a priority. Healthy meals are key as we try to protect ourselves against the virus, and our most vulnerable populations need access to fresh food more than ever. You can learn more about Feeding San Diego Fundraiser events and more ways to get involved at the Feeding San Diego website.

Of course along with other industries, the grocery supply chain has been affected — sometimes making it difficult to find the items you seek for your own family. If you’re concerned that you may be missing some key nutritional elements, check out our immune system boosting supplements. We are maintaining our 25% discount in an effort to help you stay healthy.
